Day Trip to Uros & Taquile Island

Escape the city and embark on a captivating day tour to the Uros and Taquile islands, immersing yourself in the unique communities residing in the heart of Lake Titicaca. Itinerary

Pickup from your accommodation (7:00 am)

We will pick you up from your hotel in Puno. Our pickup area includes the city center, and if you let us know in advance, we can arrange pickup from other areas as well.

Departure to the Uros (7:30 am)

We set off on a lake boat towards the fascinating Uros floating islands. As we sail, you can admire the stunning landscape of Lake Titicaca.

Arrival in the Uros islands (10:00 am)

Once we reach the floating islands, the local residents will assist you in disembarking from the boat. Here, you will learn about the unique lifestyle of these people who live on these floating islands made of totora reeds. You can also opt for a boat ride on a totora reed boat (additional cost).

Departure to Taquile (11:00 am)

During this time, you can enjoy the lake and observe more floating islands along the way. Feel free to go to the boat’s rooftop for a better view.

Arrival in Taquile (12:00 pm)

Upon arrival in Taquile, we will walk for about 45 minutes to reach the main square of the island, where you will have a magnificent view of the entire island. We will embark on a tour to explore the island, learn about their culture and activities. Afterward, we will have a delightful lunch at a nice restaurant before starting our walk back to the boat.

Return to Puno (15:30 pm)

After an enriching day spent discovering the communities on Lake Titicaca, we head straight back to Puno. We arrive at the port around 17:00 hrs, marking the end of our memorable journey.
