5 Days Trip to the Amazon Rainforest
Enjoy the magnificent Amazon rainforest during a 5-day tour. Enjoy the beauty of the jungle at Muyuna lodge while being surrounded by all type of beautiful creatures. On this tour you will see lots of animals, from monkeys to Caimans. Get ready to navigate the Amazon river and spot beautful pink dolphins and interesting birds. If that is not enough, you will also be able to watch incredible aquatic plans. Before you go home, take a short excursion in kayak through the lake Yanayacu and visit a remote lake in the deep of the Amazon rainforest.

Itinerary
Day 1:
You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Iquitos at 9:30 am. The departure to Muyuna lodge is before 10:00 am. The total journey to get to the lodge is 3 hours.
Your first jungle introduction will be to meet the pygmy marmoset, the smallest monkey the world. We will walk you around our botanical garden to explore the local plants and learn about composting practice.
At night we will make an excursion by boat to see caimans, birds and mammals.

Day 2:
We will start the day making an excursion to swing in the Amazon River and watch pink and gray dolphins. After that, we will look for the Victoria’s regia, the largest aquatic plant in the world and then we will watch iguanas.
During this day, we will also have the change to fish the famous Piranha and after that, we will simply enjoy the sunset on the lake sapote.
At night, we will walk in search of huge tarantulas and frogs.
Day 3:
We will do a boat excursion to lakes or streams upriver searching for different bird species and monkeys. After that, we will make an authentic visit to San Juan Yanayacu’s village, where locals will receive us.
During this third day we will also do a nocturnal canoe trip to listen to all the sounds of the jungle.
Day 4:
A full day exploration awaits for you. We will go to a remote location upstream to observe birds, sloths monkeys and insects. We will have lunch in the middle of the jungle.
After this activity we will return to the lodge and you will have a free choice to do a night activity.
Day 5:
We will do a boat excursion to remote lake and you will have the chance to swim in Yanayacu river before departure.
At 1:00 pm we will depart from the lodge to the airport or hotel. We will arrival in Iquitos at 4:00 pm approximately.
