Itinerary

Embark on an unforgettable expedition to the Colca Canyon, where breathtaking vistas and cultural treasures await. Our journey begins between 03:00 and 03:30 hrs, as we pick you up from your accommodation, setting off on a comfortable private van or minibus bound for the Canyon. After a scenic 4-hour drive, we pause in Chivay to indulge in a breakfast, preparing ourselves for the wonders to come.

By 08:30 hrs, we reach the Condor’s Cross, a vantage point that unveils the beauty of the Colca Canyon. Prepare to witness the majestic Andean Condor gracefully gliding overhead, offering an up-close encounter with these magnificent creatures. Capture stunning photographs of these avian wonders, as their presence creates an extraordinary and truly unique experience within the Canyon.

On our return journey to Chivay, we make stops at the charming villages of Pinchollo, Maca, and Yanque. These quaint locales boast colonial churches, ancient tombs, and Pre-Inca terraces, granting us a glimpse into the local way of life within the second deepest Canyon in the world.

At noon, we arrive at the hot springs, where you can unwind and immerse yourself in the therapeutic waters, surrounded by nature’s serenity. Following this relaxing interlude, we savor a delectable buffet lunch at a local restaurant in Chivay.

As we journey back to Arequipa, we make a stop at Patapampa, an incredible viewpoint that offers a panoramic spectacle of the Ampato, Sabancaya, and Hualca Hualca volcanoes standing side by side. This breathtaking sight marks the pinnacle of our expedition, as we ascend to an altitude of 4800 meters above sea level in Pampa Cañahuas.

By 17:30 hrs, we return to Arequipa, and drop you off next to the Santa Catalina Monastery.
