Uros and Taquile island, full day tour

Leave the city behind and come to the Uros and Taquile island to learn about these interesting communities living in the middle of the Titicaca lake. The Uros have lived on floating islands made from a reed called totora for more than two centuries. These people have learned to survive in the middle of Lake Titicaca by carrying out activities such as fishing, hunting and gathering. Currently these people also raise animals, but their main economic source has become tourism. In the other hand, Taquile is known as a peaceful island where men make clothes from sheep wool. From Taquile island you can have impressive views of the Titicaca lake and spend a calm and beautiful day. This tour is the perfect way to spend a full day in Puno.
