Uros, Amantani and Taquile, 2 day tour
Leave the city behind and come to the Uros, Amantani and Taquile island to learn about these interesting communities living in the middle of the Titicaca lake. The Uros have lived on floating islands made from a reed called totora for more than two centuries. These people have learned to survive in the middle of Lake Titicaca by carrying out activities such as fishing, hunting and gathering. In the other hand, Amantani is known as a peaceful island where men make clothes from sheep wool. From Amantani island you can have impressive views of the Titicaca lake and spend an sleep overnight. Uros and Amantani will be visited in day 1 and on day 2 we will go to Taquile, which is the island with more vegetation in the Titicaca lake, we will spend half day there and will make a tour to try to see the most.

We pick up all participants from their hotels. Our pick-up area covers the center of Puno, we can also pick you up from another area if you notify us in advance.
Departure to the Uros (8:30 hrs)
We depart to the Uros floating islands using a lake boat. During the tour you will be able to see the landscape of the beautiful Titicaca lake.
Arrival in the Uros islands (10:00 hrs)
Once we arrive in the floating islands, the locals will help you to get out of the boat. In the Uros you will learn how these people live on the floating islands and what else they make with the totora reed. You will also have the chance to take a ride in a boat made of totora reed (not included in the price).
Departure to Amantani (11:00 hrs)
During this time you will enjoy the lake and will see many more floating islands on the way. You can also go to the roof top of the boat to have a better view.
Arrival in Amantani (12:30 hrs)
Once we arrive in Amantani, we will meet the family that we will stay with, they will serve us lunch and you can get recommendations from them about where to go in the island. Before the sunset we will go to a place called “Pachatata and Pachamama” to see the beautiful sunset.
Music time (20:00 hrs)
After dinner all the group will meet to have a nice conversation, listen to live andean folkloric music and enjoy some drinks.
Departure to Taquile (7:30 am)
After breakfast we will go to boat to leave to Taquile, this ride last around 30 minutes.
Arrival in Taquile (8:00)
Once we arrive in Taquile, we need to walk around 45 minutes to the main square of the island, from there we will have an awesome view of the whole island. We will do a tour to know the entire island and learn about their culture and activities. After that we will have lunch at a nice restaurant and then we will start walking back to the boat.
Departure to Puno (15:30)
After discovering Taquile, we leave straight to Puno and arrive at the port around 17:00 hrs.
