Full description
This tour consists of 1 hour and 30 minutes by boat to the well-known Fundo Pedrito, a place where Paiches and lizards are raised, here you can feed the latter and learn about both species.
You can also see the Victoria regia or Victoria amazonica plant, which is a water lily, it is the largest of all its species, native to the shallow waters of the Amazon River (Peru and Brazil) and is also found in Guyana and Colombia.
After this visit, we sail for 30 more minutes until we reach Monkey Island. A short walk of about 20 minutes will allow us to access the sanctuary where we will learn more about the initiative to rescue these animals that are highly trafficked. We also visit the Yagua tribe of the Amazon, a friendly tribe that will share its customs with visitors.
Back on the river, we have lunch on the boat with traditional Iquitos food such as juanes, tamales and fruit. Once lunch is over, we return to the city along the river while watching the dolphins. At approximately 6:00 pm we disembark in the city.
